Join the SCRC as we welcome Prof. Cheng Li, Director and Senior Fellow of The John L. Thorton China Center and The Brookings Institution in conversation with Prof. Andrew Mertha, George and Sadie Hyman Professor of China Studies and Inaugural Director of the SAIS Global China Research Center. They will be discussing the 20th Party Congress. The event will be held at the Rome Auditorium.

Dr. Cheng Li is the director of the John L. Thornton China Center and a senior fellow in the Foreign Policy program at the Brookings Institute. He is also a director of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations. His work focuses on the transformation of political leaders, generational change, the Chinese middle class, and technological development in China.
